For a long time, Bangalore was known for its greenery which earned it the name ‘Garden City of India.’ Lately, this green paradise is losing all its charm, trees have been replaced with roads and buildings.
At Embassy group, we keep the green spirit of Bangalore alive, by making nature a part of every township we build. Our pursuit is to give all our residents – a life amongst nature.
So, we are chasing this pursuit on a grander scale. We are giving a home to more than 100 different types of trees, both rare and common. Here are 6 of the most unique trees we have at Embassy Springs:
1. Jacaranda Tree:-
Native to Brazil, the Jacaranda Tree is exceptionally beautiful. The tree is best known for its enchanting flowers that come in six colour variants. At Embassy Springs, these flowers come mostly in purple, and when they bloom, they paint the township with a beautiful colour. The tree can reach up to 12 metres and its large number of fine branches give the tree canopy a distinguished appearance. To stand under the shade of this majestic tree is a unique experience.
2. Bombax Ceiba (Cotton Tree) :-
This tall and imposing tree is the first choice in establishing a woodland garden. The flowers of the tree come in red colours that carry an appealing charm. When the flowers bloom, they fill the air with a sweet aroma that attracts a host of species such as pollinating birds, squirrels and bees. Watching this tree up close is truly a sight to behold.
3. Tabebuia Argentea (Caribbean Trumpet Tree) :-
Words aren’t enough when it comes to describing the Tabebuia Argentea. A trumpet-shaped tree blooms with beautiful yellow flowers that set it apart from the rest. To witness this tree in full bloom is just awe-inspiring.
4. Michelia Champaca (Champak) :-
Native to the Himalayas, the Michelia Champaca can stand up to 50 metres or taller. The flowers of this tree give off a distinct fragrance while its leaves have a pale-yellow velvety texture. The sheer size of this tree is enough to transport you away to a magical land.
5. Erythrina Variegata (Indian Coral Tree) :-
This highly valued ornamental has been described as a gem of the floral world. Before the leaves sprout in the late winter or early spring, the tree displays a spectacular show with bright crimson flowers which is nothing short of heavenly. It’s one experience you must see to believe.
6. Plumeria Alba (Frangipani) :-
Plumeria alba, commonly called the white frangipani, is an evergreen shrub variety. Apart from its mixed pattern of white and yellow markings, the flowers are also known for their mesmerising scent. Living amidst the refreshing air of this tree rejuvenates the mind and the soul.
Greenery is one aspect that has always been a hallmark of Embassy Springs, Bangalore’s biggest and best planned city. That’s why we’ve dedicated 45 acres to green spaces that contain over 100+ varieties of trees that can sustain only in an environment here. As Bangalore’s weather is conducive for all kinds of trees, Embassy Springs offers an ideal environment for these tree species to thrive. Living in the sanctuary with varied eco-diversity is one aspect our residents take pride the most.
